3 Goals for Innovation

Looking forward I realize that there is very little time left in the school year. I also realize that there is ample time to continue striving towards using innovative practice. As my first year of teaching comes to a close, I have ideas and goals on where I want to take things.

TODAYS GOAL – Dont hold back. Dont be afraid. Don’t settle for being ‘comfortable’ in my teaching methods. My goal for today is to strive to move forward, and always look for ways to be innovative in my teaching. My goal is to always push myself, and challenge myself.

GOAL FOR NEXT WEEK – My goal looking forward to next week is to continue on with my innovative practices that I am experimenting on. I find myself wanting to try so many different things in the classroom, but I often do not follow through because I have so many new things on the go. My goal for the next week is to focus in on 1 or 2 things and put all of my effort into making it successful.

GOAL FOR THE MONTH – My goal for the month is to focus in on my new guided math program. After assessing my students in the spring, and reflecting in on my findings, I realized that my students need a targeted math program. After researching and thinking, I decided that a guided math program is what my class needs. Looking forward to this month, I want to focus on creating a successful math program.

Stay tuned to find out how it goes..

I love your goal for today – even though this can be a goal for every day. It is a great place to start and gives me motivation to “let go” and enjoy the process!
