Happy St. Patrick’s Day Everyone!
It was great to see so many of you at Student-Led Conferences this past week. I hope you enjoyed taking a tour of your child’s learning journey 🙂 The kids really looked forward to sharing their hard work and celebrating their successes with you. I always enjoy connecting with the families and watching how excited the students are to share their learning experiences. Thanks for making this a true celebration!
Well with conferences over that can only mean one thing…it is Spirit Week this week!! The email about what’s happening each day went home last week, so I hope everyone was able to read it and get ready for some fun!
Here is a quick reminder courtesy of Bitmoji!!
Monday: Let’s Make a Rainbow-Grade 3s wear green & Grade 4s wear yellow!
Tuesday: Summer Vibes-Wear some of your favourite summer clothing and let’s try to make this snow melt (LOL)! *No swimwear please
Wednesday: Sports Day-Support your favourite team(s) by wearing jerseys, shirts, hats, etc.
Thursday: Superhero Day- Dress in something that makes you feel like a superhero!! This can be a known hero or something you create!!
*Special Note…We are headed back to the forest on Thursday!! Last week we had so much fun with our vertical team and now our 3/4 team has invited us back for more forest fun! We were planned to go from 9:20-11:30 BUT there is a special music presentation happening from 9:00-9:45 so we are changing the time to 10:00-somewhere between 12 and 1. The school division is getting back to us with a time that works best for them during the lunch hour. I will keep everyone posted via Seesaw and Jocelyn will send an email with the confirmed times ASAP. If we are not getting picked up until closer to 1 we will plan to eat a picnic lunch outside! Again, details to come as soon as we can 🙂
Friday: Friluftsliv Friday-Wear something green or a shirt with a tree or other nature vibe! Please note that we will be outside on Friday with our vertical teams so please dress for the weather as well!!
Spirit Week will also include:
-a kick off assembly (Monday)
-hallway dances (1-1:15 daily)
-dodgeball: teachers vs 129
-floor hockey: teachers vs 125
-whole school outdoor dance party (weather permitted on Friday)
What a way to get ready for Spring Break!!
Have a great rest of your weekend!
Until next time,
Danielle
