You know that it has been a phenomenal day when your cheeks hurt from smiling so much! Today was one of those days. Today we all celebrated Peter H. Reynold’s book The Dot. We talked about how to make our mark, even in the smallest way and then we spent the rest of the day on fabulous explorations of dots! Congratulations on making your mark Fort Rouge Learners!
It was a beautiful day!
When viewing the photos of each classroom’s contribution regarding International Dot Day, the very significance of it all is witnessing what can evolve from a simple lesson plan! The teacher has his or her plan in mind just as an architect owns his or her blueprint. The architect witnesses the plan leave the imprints on paper to form what constitutes a structure laid out with each detail precisely attended to. The teacher executes a lesson plan with the end in mind, only to have the children take the idea into their heads, hands and hearts in a swirl of beautiful chaos to form their own creation, their own reality. How perfectly enchanting to take in, in its simplicity.
