Chapters 4,5&6

Hi Fellow Book Club Members!

It was very exciting to read all your comments from the first 3 Chapters. I hope you are enjoying Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban so far! Make sure you take time to read other people’s comments and feel free to comment again if you’d like! Maybe you want to ask a question or point something out. Let us know if you are reading the book alone or with a family member or friend, or where you are doing most of your reading. I think it’s so cool that we can all be in different locations and still be connected! Also-if you are reading any other books let us know…maybe you can recommend a good summer read to a friend, teacher or principal 😉

I’ll start us off on this week’s comment thread.

For me a wondering is a little different because I’ve read the series so many times that I’m not wondering what happens since I already know! I’m wondering how J.K. Rowling got her ideas. Did she work alone? Did she create a list of ideas as they came to her? How did she keep track of everything so all the details were consistent throughout the series? I wonder if she re-reads the series or maybe she doesn’t need to?! I wonder if any of the characters are based on her at all? So many wonderings…I could think about this for hours! Maybe you are wondering some of the same things!

Happy Reading 📖 Chat with you soon!

Until next time ⚡️

Danielle

GREAT question! It’s probably because J.K Rowling is so awesome.(P.S I got Wings of fire book 10 , at the Grant Park Mall)

I wonder why the muggles can’t hear the night bus because why would they let Harry out by himself? Also, how did black escape Azkaban at first?

What a great wondering! Also-Harry had sooooo much stuff with him. I’m sure he looked suspicious with that load he had with him!

    Hello fellow readers.

My “wonder” is of a more personal nature… I just returned from Australia where I spent time with my grandsons who are 6 & 7.5. Their father is reading the first book to my oldest grandson. I wondered if he would be as excited as his mom and aunt were when they read the books twenty years ago. I am happy to report that he is very excited; so excited that he cheeed out loud when Harry was identified as being in the Gryffindor house in the Sorting Ceremony.

His younger brother is always nearby when the story is being read.

I also wondered if wizard Arithmancy is just like your Arithmetic? (I don’t remember how much detail J. K. will be giving us).

    P. S. I’m not surprised how many of you enjoyed Harry’s aunt floating to the ceiling.

How exciting that another generation is reading this beloved series!! Good question about Arithmancy. I don’t think they ever explain it too much. I think Arithmetic would be a good guess. Hope you had a great adventure in Down Under!!
