Our theme this term is Indigenous perspectives and we have been learning lots about Treaties, Aboriginal culture and what it means to respect and honor traditions and lifestyles of our First Nations citizens.

We have been engaging in discussions about the North Dakota Access Pipeline and students are showing a keen interest in this human rights issue. We even built pipelines in groups using straws and Styrofoam cups! It was quite tricky and leaks were inevitable!

We can’t wait to delve into this theme even further in March!
