Our Spanish Bilingual Program is off to a Strong Start!
September started strong! We started our month by working closely with Marcela Mangarelli on creating art through literacy. In class 14 and 21, the students focused on “Oso Pardo” and specifically looked at the colours and predictability of the book. The students had the opportunity to create their own books with the usage of common words from the book. These students showcase their learning by reading their books to various classroom friends. These books have become part of their classroom library! In class 12, the students worked on identifying various emotions in Spanish to come up with the title of their own book. The students worked on creating their own self portraits and showed them to their classmates and orally explained their creations using words from the book.
